About the Role
We're looking for a Python Backend Engineer to develop REST APIs and background workers within a versatile R&D team. You'll own features through development, testing, and deployment, while expanding your infrastructure skills.
Required
- Practical experience developing backend applications in Python.
- Experience building REST APIs using Flask, FastAPI, Django, or a similar Python framework.
- Experience with message queues and background processing, including retries, acknowledgements, and handling duplicate messages.
- Practical experience designing event-driven systems and reliable background processing.
- Good SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, including transactions and indexes.
- Comfortable working with Linux, shell commands, and Docker.
- Basic practical experience deploying applications on Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Experience with Git and debugging.
- Ability to work independently on defined tasks, communicate clearly, and learn unfamiliar technologies.
Bonuses
- Experience with Flask, RabbitMQ, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience reading and modifying Helm charts.
- Familiarity with Keycloak, OAuth2, or OpenID Connect.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic React and TypeScript knowledge.
- Experience with Elasticsearch.
