About the Role

We are looking for a manager to lead a multidisciplinary research and development team. The role combines model development and technological management of researchers and developers (DS & DE), leading advanced data research, building software architecture, and hybrid management across an on-premise (Clalit) environment and a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a diverse technology team: leading a team of approximately 5 people, including data scientists specializing in image processing, a data scientist specializing in NLP/LLM, and data engineers responsible for developing supporting applications (React/Python) and DevOps.
  • Research and algorithmic leadership: managing and hands-on developing deep learning models on multidimensional data, and advancing applied research.
  • Infrastructure and software engineering: managing and advancing development environments and containers (Docker/OpenShift), and working with the organization's infrastructure.
  • Cross-organizational work: navigating technological complexities within a large healthcare organization and building working interfaces with its various units.

Requirements (Must Have)

  • Experience as a Data Scientist: at least 5 years of hands-on experience, including proven experience in deep-learning-based image processing.
  • Management experience: at least 2 years managing a small team (2–6 people), including professional and personal responsibility for R&D staff.
  • Technical proficiency: advanced Python skills and deep learning environments, along with classical knowledge of model development and statistical analysis.
  • Infrastructure and software engineering: background in software engineering (Git, code review, structured development processes). Practical knowledge of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and working with GPUs.
